Title: "Last Stand". In the dimly lit alley, Detective Sarah clenched her pistol. Rain poured, masking her footsteps as she closed in on the notorious gang leader, Vinny "The Snake." He'd eluded justice for years. Cornered, Vinny grinned, revealing a gold tooth. "You're too late, Detective." Suddenly, his gang emerged from the shadows, outnumbering her. Sarah's heart raced. She glanced at her partner, a fellow officer, who nodded subtly. It was time. With lightning speed, they engaged the gang in a fierce gunfight. Bullets flew, sparks ignited, and bodies fell. Sarah's partner took a hit, collapsing beside her. Determination fueled her. She fought on, bullets grazing her coat, but she stood tall. In the end, only Sarah remained standing. She approached Vinny, wounded but victorious. "I told you, Detective," Vinny choked out, "You're too late." Sarah shook her head, handcuffing him. "Justice is never late, Vinny. It just took a detour." The rain continued to pour as she led him away, victorious in her last stand.
